Sent to us by Dr. Carolyn Male. She told us that ‘Ashleigh’ was originally listed by her friend and SSE member, Neil Gillard (ONT GI N) of Ontario, Canada. He received the seeds from his friends at Wilber Lake, near Eganville Ontario. The seed’s origin is reportedly from the village of Lazec, Macedonia. Mr. Gillard named the variety after his niece. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
