Ocimum basilicum
75 days – Known as ‘Thai’ or ‘Licorice’ basil, this variety grows up to around fifteen inches tall with leaves reaching up to two inches long. The leaves have a distinct but subtle licorice or anise aroma and flavor, which is excellent when used in Thai, or other traditional Asian cuisine. The stems are purplish-red with small burgundy flowers that are in bloom in the summer. Plant in well drained soil in a location that receives full sun throughout the day. Each packet contains one gram of seeds. An annual plant.
