Southern Pea (Cowpea)
75 days — ‘Cream 8’, also known as ‘Texas Cream 8’, is a high yielding, bush-type pea that sets its pods concentrated high on the plants. The white flowers mature into medium to long pods that produce oblong, kidney shaped peas when dried.
It is a nice “cream pea” variety for both home and market gardens and excellent for freezing. Bred and released by the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, College Station, Texas, in 1960. Each ounce is approximately 200 seeds.
