The Dwarf Tomato Project’s “Grizzly” family originated from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small by crossing the old, historic dwarf variety ‘New Big
Dwarf’ with indeterminate tomato ‘Grozny ’91’. From this family, ‘Dwarf
Kodiak King’ was selected and named by Amanda Fischer. Along with
Patrina and Amanda, others involved with creating this variety were Craig LeHoullier, Michael Volk, Sherry Long, Damon Huck, Bill Minkey,
Mike Dunton, and John Dunton. It was introduced by the Victory Seed Company in 2022. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.
