(Gigante d’Inverno)
Spinacia oleracea
45 days — ‘Giant Winter’ spinach plants produce large, smooth, semi-savoyed leaves, that are medium-green in color. This variety was specifically bred to be tolerant of colder temperatures, which allows it to be sown in late summer or early autumn for late fall greenhouse harvests, or allowed to overwinter for use in early spring. If you prefer, it can also be planted at the same time as other spinach varieties.
Also known as ‘Winter Giant’ and ‘Gigante d’Inverno’, this spinach is an old European variety. Each packet contains four grams, which is approximately 300 seeds.
