Improved Colossal Yellow Tomato

90 days, indeterminate — ‘Improved Colossal Yellow’ is a beef-steak type tomato. It is the result of
selective breeding from ‘Yellow Ponderosa’ to achieve a superior variety. The fruit are smooth and very large in size, nicely colored, on tall vines.

It was part of a 1948 group introduction of by the old Burgess Seed and Plant Company of Galesburg, Michigan. Included in the release were ‘Improved Colossal Red’, ‘Improved Colossal Yellow’, ‘Improved Colossal Crimson’ and ‘Improved Colossal Orange’.

Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
