four inches in length with shiny kernels that are a beautiful, deep- to
medium-blue color. They are not as purple as other blue type corn
varieties. The stalks average six to seven feet in height and produce
from two to four ears each.
The small dry ears, with their
“colonial blue” color, are attractive and popular for using in “country
decorating,” in dried arrangements, fall decorations, bird feeders,
wreaths, and crafts. Although it is quite ornamental, it is popcorn and
can be popped for eating! Each packet contains 0.5 ounces, which is approximately 160 to 170 seeds.
