90 days, indeterminate — ‘Norduke’ is a late season, red-fruited canning variety of the ‘Stone‘ type. Its plants are large, erect, and somewhat dense. The fruit are large, smooth, oblate, fairly meaty, and comparatively free from cracks.
Bred by Fred J. Pritchard of the USDA as a stabilized cross between ‘Norton‘ and ‘Duke of York‘ and was released in 1922.[4,5] Our parent stock source was USDA ARS accession number PI 270238. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
