Red Russian Tobacco

Red Russian
Nicotiana tabacum L.

Plants are short, averaging three to four feet, leaf color is a beautiful dark green with a rounded shape resembling old Cuban-types. The leaves cure to a medium tan to light red color. As you can see from the picture, the flowers are beautiful making this variety a great choice as an ornamental plant.

We do not know much about this variety other than the USDA added it to their seed collection in 1939, and that it is accession number TC 588.
