50 days — The roots of ‘Seven Top’ turnips tend to be tough, woody, strong flavored, and although they can be eaten when young and tender, they are generally considered inedible. For many years, it has been a very popular variety in the Southern United States where it is grown over winter to be harvested as spring turnip greens.
‘Seven Top’ is a pre-1800 variety used primarily for its greens. Each packet contains 0.5 gram, which is approximately 125 seeds.
