Classified as a flue-cured type tobacco, ‘Silver Dollar’ was historically used for cigarette blends. The plants grows to about fifty-three inches tall when topped, or seven feet when allowed to flower.
Its leaves have slightly undulating margins, slightly puckered surfaces, and are broadest at the middle and narrower at the two equal ends. Typical leaves are fourteen inches wide by twenty-six inches long.
Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552332 and is grown for us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
