82 days, dwarf — The vigorous, rugose potato leaf plants of ‘Willa’s Cariboo Rose’ produce three to ten ounce, oblate-shaped fruit that are a beautiful, deep pink color. They are very juicy and their thin skins do contribute to some late season splitting if your area receives excessive fall rains like we often get here on our farm.
Its flavor is excellent and best described as a slightly tart, classic “red flavor” with a very nice, slightly sweet-tart aftertaste that lingers on the palate.
Developed by members of the “Dwarf Tomato Project” from a cross made between ‘Budai Torpe’ and ‘Stump of the World’ by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005 and named ‘Sleepy’. Introduced for the 2017 gardening season, ‘Willa’s Cariboo Rose’ is a pink tomato variety that emerged in the efforts to create a red potato leaf selection called ‘Wilpena’. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
