75 days, dwarf — ‘Yukon Quest’ is an early to mid season variety with dark green, rugose, regular leaf foliage on a stout central stem that grows to three feet tall. Its fruit are smooth and round to oblate, ranging from three to six ounces, and ripen pink. Flavor is well balanced and pleasant.
Developed between 2006 to 2011 by members of the “Dwarf Tomato Project” as a selection out of the “Grumpy family” (‘Budai Torpe’ and ‘Black from Tula‘, cross made in 2006 by Patrina Nuske Small of Australia). A selection grown by Richard Allen of Australia was sent to Susan Bailey of Alaska, who found and named ‘Yukon Quest’. Introduced in 2011. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
